Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Edido
This coffee comes to us from the Edido regions of Ethiopia. Grown at 1850–1880 meters this naturally processed coffee is sun-dried on raised beds, developing a complex flavor profile that balances floral jasmine notes with bright peach and citrus undertones. You'll find layers of honey sweetness complemented by hints of panela and warming cardamom spice. With medium acidity and a smooth, inviting texture, this coffee offers a well-rounded cup that celebrates the unique terroir of its origin.
Ethiopia Edido is a collaborative effort of small farming cooperatives across the Edido and Aricha kebeles in Yirgacheffe's Bunna district. These dedicated producers choose the natural process—a time-honored tradition that suits both their cultural values and practical needs. By hand-turning cherries on raised beds under the sun, they preserve the bean's delicate aromatics and create the vibrant floral and fruity character Yirgacheffe is celebrated for. This grassroots approach to coffee cultivation honors generations of knowledge while delivering the complexity and care you taste in every cup.
Ken Bon Trading represents three generations of Ethiopian coffee heritage, guided by mother-daughter team Aisha and Danya Bon. Rooted in Jimma's legendary coffee forests, they've transformed their family legacy into a mission of meaningful impact. Beyond expertly processing and exporting exceptional beans, Aisha and Danya invest directly in farming communities—funding schools and clean water initiatives that strengthen the families behind every harvest. For them, coffee is more than commerce; it's a commitment to honoring the people and land that make Ethiopian coffee extraordinary.
