Brazil Carmo De Minas
This coffee hails from the Carmo De Minas, Minas Gerais region in Brazil and is a natural, single-origin blend. It is sourced from the Sertao farms, sits at an altitude of 1100-1400 masl and is of the Yellow Bourbon varieties.
Located in Brazil, Fazenda Sertão is a sprawling 850-hectare farm. Of this land, 330 hectares are devoted to coffee cultivation, boasting a variety of coffee tree types including Red and Yellow Bourbon, Yellow Catucai, and Yellow Catuai. In addition to coffee, this farm also grows bananas and corn, and even has a dairy livestock operation. What sets this farm apart is its touching love story: the farm was passed down to Jose Isidro Pereira from his mother, leading him to switch careers from dentistry to coffee production. In 1949, Jose Isidro met his soulmate and partner, Nazareth, who continues to manage the farm to this day. Their children, Francisco, Luiz Paulo, Clycia, and Sandra, have also followed in their parents' footsteps and are dedicated coffee producers, keeping the family's legacy alive.
