Ethiopia is celebrated as the origin of coffee and has a deep-rooted coffee heritage. Our washed coffee comes from the Yirgacheffe area, grown at an elevation of 2200 meters above sea level. In Ethiopia, coffee drinking remains a cherished ritual that brings together family, friends, and community. Traditionally, the eldest woman in the household roasts fresh coffee beans, grinds them, and brews the coffee using a jebena pot. The strong brew is served in small cups and refreshed twice with boiling water, a process lasting about an hour and symbolizing warmth and hospitality.
